How to Use Silicone HTV
- Cut: Place the Silicone HTV shiny side up (or colored side up) in your cutting machine. Since silicone HTV is thicker than standard PU HTV, use a 45° or 60° blade and adjust the cut depth. Always test cut first.
- Weed: Carefully remove the excess vinyl from your design.
- Pre-Press: Place the garment on the heat press and pre-press the fabric for 3–5 seconds to remove wrinkles and moisture.
- Position & Tape: Place the weeded design onto the garment with the liner facing up. Use heat-resistant tape to secure the design in place.
- Press: Cover the design with a Teflon sheet or silicone cover sheet. Press at 165–170°C (329–338°F) with medium pressure for 10–15 seconds. For thicker 3D silicone designs, press up to 25 seconds.
- Cold Peel: Allow the garment to cool completely, then slowly peel away the carrier sheet from one corner.
- Cure: Wait 24–48 hours before washing. Wash inside out with mild detergent and avoid fabric softener.
