Metallic Puff HTV Cutting Setting
Because it cuts flat, you can use standard settings similar to regular vinyl.Cricut: Use the Iron-On or Washi Sheet setting with a 45-degree blade.
Silhouette: Use a Blade Depth of 2, Force of 10, Speed of 8.
How to Apply (Heat Press Required)
Puff vinyl requires a professional heat press or a precise tool like a Cricut Autopress to achieve the correct heat and pressure. A household iron is not recommended for metallic versions.
- Prepare: Cut your design in reverse (mirror image) and weed away the excess vinyl.
- Pre-Press: Preheat your garment for 2–3 seconds to remove moisture.
- First Press: Place the design face down. Press at 140–145°C (284–293°F) for 8–10 seconds using medium pressure.
- Peel: Carefully peel the carrier sheet while it is still warm to hot.
- Second Press: Cover the raised design with a Teflon or parchment sheet and press again for 10 seconds with medium pressure to lock in the puff effect.
